It is that time of the year again, when we reminisce the best of the year gone by and gear up for what awaits us in the New Year. TS Eliot famously wrote – “For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

The year 2018 saw a long line-up of impressive events at various campuses of Jain (Deemed-to-be University). The celebrations touched a notch higher with the University being accorded the status of Graded Autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Besides, JAIN launched its premier ODL programmes for students and working professionals in Karnataka, making it a significant milestone in the University’s academic annals.

Making higher learning more accessible, launching the prestigious JAIN-Yunus Social Business Centre, giving impetus to CSR initiatives, hosting a Women-centric Conclave as well as the All India Inter University Aquatic (Men) Championship were among the highlights of the year.

Several other noteworthy events added to the fervor as our campuses reverberated the anthem of being the best. Here we showcase a few of the occasions that made 2018 a remarkable year for JAIN.
