We can scarcely survive and thrive in a country such as India, let alone make the giant strides that we propose to make in the world if acceptance and respect for people whose doctrines and ways differ from us leads to conflict.

Universities are building blocks for nations. They are one of the foundational institutions where a person learns crucial lessons en route to take responsibilities that adulthood would later bestow on him or her. The power of a right lesson, at the right moment, gained in early stages of life cannot be dismissed. It is therefore inevitable that Universities become the breeding ground for revolutions, harbingers of new eras and hope for social progression of all kinds. Unity and acceptance of the others, who are different from us in our beliefs, ideologies and practices is one of the core lessons that a place of education inculcates and it is also perhaps one of the most vital ones.

We can scarcely survive and thrive in a country such as India, let alone make the giant strides that we propose to make in the world if acceptance and respect for people whose doctrines and ways differ from us leads to conflict. We live in a networked world and each tiny dot in this vast connection of criss-crossing lines influences the others. At a neutral place such as an institution, one gets an opportunity to watch at and mingle with different sets of people, understand their backgrounds and take the first step towards a harmonious existence.

The pattern of education at Jain University is weaved to incorporate understanding of different groups of people and their cultures. This in turn fosters the feelings of oneness which is extremely important in a world constantly torn by divisive events and elements. We believe that no person can truly fulfil their potential until and unless they understand the true potential until and unless they.

The students of Jain University while taking part in myriad extra-curricular activities and curricular projects develop this cultural and social understanding which is very important to achieve success. The instructors and academicians constantly encourage exercises and make conscious attempts to foster this feeling oneness and understanding. It plays a very crucial role in ensuring a successful and fulfilling life. The recipe for leading an effective life is to get along with people more than anything else and we urge everyone to contribute towards creating this understanding.
