Jain (Deemed-to-be University) undertakes a unique and life-enhancing campaign ‘Connect to Careers’ with the aim of ‘enhancing employability’ as part of the varsity’s social initiative. JAIN has always been at the forefront of education, be it the IT or the non-IT sector. The University, which stands to offer exciting job opportunities to students and job aspirants organised the event in association with the GWFM network forum. The University’s commitment to the students and the society does not end at being merely an education provider.

JAIN organised Job Fairs at six locations – Vijayawada, Tadipatri, Chittoor, Nellore, Kochi and Bengaluru as part of the latest campaign between February 2019 and May 2019, with the aim of providing placement assistance to graduate and post-graduate students of 2017, 2018 and 2019 batches across all streams.

JGI Knowledge Campus in Bengaluru hosted the event on May 5, 2019. A total of 3289 students walked in for interviews on the day, which saw the participation of over 58 companies from various sectors. The drive helped 286 students secure jobs in different companies. The event ‘Connect to Careers’ is also in harmony with JAIN’s vision of providing awareness to students to pursue the right careers.

Student volunteers and University staff from different departments like Placements and Industry Interface, Admissions, Marketing and Facilities were not only enthusiastic but also managed the crowd efficiently.

The drive started from Vijayawada on February 16, 2019 at NRI Institute of Technology, Pothavarappadu Village. On March 2, 2019, Tadipatri Engineering College, Tadipatri, Andhra Pradesh hosted the event while VEMU Institute of Technology, Chittoor, played host on March 16, 2019.
